چکیده
Abstract Litter decomposition plays an important role in the carbon cycle and is affected by many factors forest ecosystems. This study aimed to quantify rhizosphere priming effect on litter subtropical southwestern China. A experiment including control trenching treatments was conducted using bag method, rate calculated dry mass loss. Trenching did not change soil temperature, but increased water content 14.5%. In this study, interaction of temperature controlled rate, explained 87.4 85.5% variation treatments, respectively. Considering changes environmental due trenching, rates were corrected regression models. After correction, 32.47 ± 3.15 25.71 2.72% year –1 , respectively, 2-year period. Rhizosphere activity significantly primed 26.3%. Our suggested a forest. Combining previous results, we estimated contributions total organic matter (SOM) decomposition, root respiration forest, our new method estimating components provided basic theory for SOM research.

Litter input decreased the response of soil organic matter decomposition to warming in two subtropical forest soils
Interaction effect of temperature and litter input on SOM decomposition is poor understood, restricting accurate prediction of the dynamics and stocks of soil organic carbon under global warming. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted an incubation experiment by adding (13)C labeled leaf-litter into a coniferous forest (CF) soil and a broadleaved forest (BF) soil. In this experiment, respo...

متن کاملPlant inter-species effects on rhizosphere priming of soil organic matter decomposition
Living roots and their rhizodeposits can stimulate microbial activity and soil organic matter (SOM) decomposition up to several folds. This so-called rhizosphere priming effect (RPE) varies widely among plant species possibly due to species-specific differences in the quality and quantity of rhizodeposits and other root functions. However, whether the RPE is influenced by plant inter-species in...

We used a continuous labeling method of naturally C-depleted CO2 in a growth chamber to test for rhizosphere effects on soil organic matter (SOM) decomposition. Two C3 plant species, soybean (Glycine max) and sunflower (Helianthus annus), were grown in two previously differently managed soils, an organically farmed soil and a soil from an annual grassland. We maintained a constant atmospheric C...
